Finally found a plumber I trust
I had major drain probelms. I had called others plumbers before who had come out and cleared the lines only to have the problem again in less than a year. Anderson came out, cleared the line, offered to do a camera so we could find out what was relaly going on. I had a broken pipe where roots were growing in and stuff was getting hung up. They gave me several options for repair and I elected to have the line lined with a trenchless system. It took less than 24 hours and we didn't have to mess up the yard. I will call them again for any plumbing problem I have.

Quality First
It's Fall and time to have our furnace serviced. Anderson's Plumbing, Heating and Air has been performing this task for the past four years. We have had no complaints with the service we have received on our Heater or Air Conditioner. The office staff and Technicians have always been very pleasant and professional and well trained in their jobs.
Their prices are on the high side, but the quality of service is worth it. By the way they also do great plumbing work.

Will Never Call them Again!
I should have trusted my instincts. Its never a good sign when you call to get an estimate over the phone and they tell you they do not give prices over the phone and that the tech will quote you when he arrives. This is a common sales tactic for companies who know their prices are high. This gets them out to the jobsite where they know it will be more difficult and inconvenient for the customer to deny the service due to the price. The girl offered to waive the standard diagnostic fee (another warning- charging for estimates)and could have a tech out that same day. I had already called 2 other companies and both quoted me about the same price. I foolishly assumed Anderson would be in the same ballpark so I booked the appointment. A huge Pink truck pulls up to the house (Slightly embarrassing). The tech took a look at my problem and showed me his clipboard with their predetermined pricing. I was in shock to say the least. I told him what my other quotes where and that I was not interested in paying his price. He reluctantly agreed to lower his price and complete the job. As I walked him back to his big pink truck I noticed the picture of the president on the side brandishing all of her diamond jewelry. I have to wonder if the excessive prices are directly related. Unless you have money to flush, I would not recommend this company.

Believe it or not I appreciate feedback both favorable and unfavorable. It serves as a bench mark for how we are doing and it gives us needed feedback in order to improve our services and provide the value our customers deserve.

We perform “happy checks” after every call to make sure that our customer is happy with all aspects of the job. We have 100% satisfaction guaranteed so if this person would give me a call, I would be more than happy to discuss his/her particular dissatisfaction with our company.

I would like to address some of this person’s statements. The reason we don’t quote price over the phone is it is nearly impossible to know the exact scope of work with out doing some type of investigation. Furthermore once the investigation is completed, we provide our customer with a price before any work is done. This way the customer has complete control over how much they spend and whether the work is done or not.

Concerning the charging for estimates, we don’t charge for estimates. If you call our HVAC department and ask for estimate, there will be no charge. If you call our company for a service call, we do charge a $42 diagnostic fee for plumbing and a $68 diagnostic fee for air conditioning. We expend a lot of our resources making sure that our people are well trained. We want to make sure that the person who we send to your home can fix it and fix it right the first time. Just like any other service, you are paying for that expertise.

Recent industry studies show that just to get a technician to your home, before any work is done, costs service companies $87 per call when you factor in all of the hidden costs of doing business, (i.e. wages, insurance, support staff, etc)

One final word, we will never be the low cost plumber. You deserve value, and warranties that back up that value. If this person is really unhappy, I would once again ask that they give me a call. I would remind him/her that we have 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Oh, and for the record, the diamond rings are a combination engagement and wedding ring from my husband and have nothing what so ever to do with my company…..and I make no apology for them what so ever.

I've finally found my plumber
I had perhaps the worst plumbing problem possible - a sewer backup. It was not pretty. I needed it fixed and I needed it fixed immediately. I found Anderson's number online and called. They came out same day, fixed the immediate problem and then recommended sewer lining. based on the video they showed me of my lines it was obvious I needed the service and they weren't trying to "sell me" but really wanted to be sure I didn't have this problem again. They did the lining early the next week and I feel great knowing that I won't have anymore problems. Great service from the scheduling call to the three technicians I worked with. I will always call them for any problem I have in the future. thank you Anderson.

Review correction
I would like to correct a statement that I made in my review of Anderson yesterday. I implied that perhaps the fact that the toilet was not working again might be related to the technician wanting to see us a new toilet rather than merely repairing the current toilet. Upon further investigation, we found that the technician had not turned the water back on to the toilet and therefore it was not working for that reason. Nevertheless, I stand by my conclusions that Anderson is very expensive and that the technician tried to pressure us to replace rather than repair the toilet even after we indicated we did not want to do so. And then for a charge of over $300 he was did not remember to turn the water back on, which was careless.

Final Result "I recommend them"
I wasn't completely happy with my old plumber so I read the reviews of Anderson and called them. I needed a kitchen double-sink unclogged. The technician came out and quoted a price to clean the drain (a bit high, but OK). He then took the drain apart and cleaned it, but said that it was really not built correctly, and quoted another price to rebuild it. Not thinking we would be charged for both, I agreed. It turns out that we were charged for both.

However, I called to complain about this (I mean, he didn't have to do any extra work, he had only disassembled it), and the drain cleaning charge was refunded, with a single phone call.

The work was excellent, the technician was clean, friendly and on time, and the charges were corrected to my satisfaction with a single phone call (but took them a couple days to review the situation). So I am rating them '4' overall. They are not the cheapest but if it's good work and backed by a good company, that's OK with me.

SO happy to be cool again
When the AC goes out and your 7 month old is screaming all you want is somebody to FIX it. I called Anderson based on a neighbor's referral and I was thrilled with the service I received. They came out same day, we're so quiet they didn't even wake the baby, found the problem, fix it and did this really thorough service check on the entire system fndong only one other little thing which they also fixed plus they helped me set the thermostat for optimum comfort and effeciency. I'm confident that I won't have any more problems this summer, but I know if I do they'll be there to stand behind their work.

First thing next morning, the owner, Mary
called me for apology and follow up after writing the review.

She was very proffesional and sincere. Listened to what I have to say and promise that everything will be taken care. I appreciate her promptness and would like to give another chance.

Charge for estimates really!!!!!!
I called to get an estimate on a new water heater. They sent some one out the same day! The person really knew what they were talking about! I decided to wait on the repair, because it was going to be some serious demo work to do it. Then he asked how I was going to pay for the estimate- ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I was not told when I called there would be a fee, and I have never paid anyone for an estimate- that's just crazy. I firmly believe in free estimates- I would have never called called if I new they wanted $42 just see how much it would cost to fix something- come on now-

want to first thank this customer for the kind words about our technician, his expertise and our over all professionalism. We put a lot of energy into hiring the right people with top notch skills and training is our number one priority. I sincerely appreciate that acknowledgment. We do charge a diagnostic fee of $42.00. This should have been quoted by the customer service representative at the time the call was booked. If it was not quoted the customer should not have to pay. Upon review of her comments I am not clear as to if that happened. Since I cannot tell who this customer is, I hope that we will find her during our outbound quality control customer service surveys. I'm smiling now! :)
Yesterday, I had a tech come out to repair my shower. I agreed to the initial quote because he told me the high price was due to labor costs. When the work was completed in about 15 minutes I was clearly not happy and posted a poor review of Anderson on this site yesterday. I also sent an email to their general email address located on their website to explain my issues and concerns. I was pleasantly surprised to get an email response from the owner, Mary Jean within 30 minutes. This morning I got a call from the tech’s supervisor and they refunded half of the cost, which is fair. I also received a call from Mary Jean personally this morning to follow-up, apologize and let me know that she is addressing the issues I brought up. She actually thanked me for my complaint, saying that is the only way they can improve their business.

Although, it was a hassle to have to deal with getting this resolved, I was very happy with Anderson’s prompt response and genuine interest in making it right. Kudos to Mary Jane for being such a hand’s on owner.
