Move Plus Inc

Despite claiming to be a moving company and not a broker, Move Plus sub-contracted my cross country move to a different carrier (they have so far claimed to be unable to provide me the name of the sub-contracted carrier). When it was time to deliver my items, the sub-contracted driver was verbally abusive and threatened not to give me my items unless I either conformed to his exact delivery schedule (9 am on a workday) or paid him $840 extra ($105/hour for 8 hours). I called Move Plus many times to try to get them to control the behavior of the sub-contracted driver or otherwise remedy the situation, but their response was minimal and ineffectual.
I strongly suggest not using this company because the experience of having someone threaten not to deliver your items (unless you pay them several hundred extra) is extremely upsetting.

This is the second time I've used Move Plus. This time it was a long move from San Diego to the SF bay area. They made everything about this move go smoothly and it was a breeze. No damaged furniture, very quick and friendly movers picked up and delivered. I will always use Move Plus for all my moves and recommend them highly!!

I moved from Far Rockaway, NY to San Diego, CA. I had many choices of moving companies and selected move plus for their personal touch. I will confess that I was concerned because it was a smaller company. In the end, my concerns turned out to be completely unwarranted. Seven professional movers did a great job on my house and packed everything in three hours.
On the other end, in San Diego, three movers came. Though it took slightly longer, they did a great job resetting the furniture. Shockingly, nothing, nothing at all, came broken or damaged. I hired 4 guys and it took over 10 hours were it previously took 3 guys 7 hours. Movers took 15 minute smoke breaks every hour and over an hour lunch which they charged me for. Movers chatted on their cell phones constantly. They caused $600 worth of damages to my furniture. The amount they reimbursed me was an insult. Be careful when signing their waiver for a specific item. When you go to make the claim they will say the waivers applies to everything. Save yourself money and headaches and don’t use them.

for anyone who needs moving services, I would defenitely recommend Move Plus. I moved my house in July.
the Move Plus team was very professional and courteous. they arrived on time and finished the moving 1.5 hours before the estimated time to my surprise.

Ask for the VIP service, it is worth it.

the estimator was also very professional and gave us a lot of tips to make our move easier and save money.

I have used this moving company several times, for long distance and in town moves.Everytime they amaze me! Always on time, very efficient and honest. Excellent choice you can't go wrong with this company. Good Luck! Victoria

I moved from San Diego to Texas and used this company to move my furniture. The guys were on time and very careful with my furniture. Great communication and very smooth move. Thanx for everything!

I wanted to commend you and your guys on the great service you gave my wife and I throughout our move on July 5th, 2008. Kevin and Tallen were our movers and they worker extremely hard with great attitudes all day. Both guys were stong as oxes and seemed to never run short of energy, which made the move go quickly. We have moved 5 times in the last 5 years based on finishing school, getting married, changing jobs, and buying a house and we have always moved ourselves. We figured we would try paying for movers and you all were worth every penny. I think for the first time we moved without an arguement and actually even laughed a few times while we joked around with the guys.

I recently had 3 movers from your company move me on Sunday the 13 of July in San Diego. I currently don’t have their names on me but they moved me from Carmel Country Road toSignature Point They did an outstanding job and worked hard to stay within my budget. Although I had more things to move that needed more time they were very efficient and worked very hard. I’ve worked with many moving companies through work and friends and I wish they were as good as your guys. They made a stressful time of moving for our family very relieving. I will definitely recommend them to my friends. Oh, and by the way, the rates were awesome too.

Hi David,

I've been going 100 miles per hour since arriving in Phoenix. I did want to send you a note to let you know what a terrific job your folks did during my move. From start to finish, they were the best I have ever encountered – and having spent 26 years in the military, I have completed many moves.

The guys in San Diego all introduced themselves to me and immediately began working upon arrival at my storage unit. They very carefully packed my furniture and, as a result, it all arrived without a scratch.

The guys in Phoenix worked very hard to unload – there was just two of them (Abraham and Ray), and I was the 3rd person on their schedule. I was amazed at how hard the two of them worked -- until 10:15 p.m.. A very long day, but they were extremely pleasant despite the fact that my apartment was on the 3rd floor and they had to drive in from Tucson.

I also have to mention your professionalism and helpfulness working with my "agent" to get my move set up. It would not have gone as smoothly without your help, and I really and greatly appreciate it. I wish I had had time to stop by and meet you and give you my personal thanks. When my parents have to move the end of this year, I will definitely call Move Plus and make a point to come by your office to meet you.
