The Field

A group of ten of us showed up on a Saturday night. The decor and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The food was good, but the service was awful. Before our meal had started I had asked for a glass of water. Three different servers/hostesses came to check how we were doing on three separate occasions. I had asked for a glass of water on every one of those occasions. Finally, after we had nearly finished our meal a server comes upstairs with a pitcher of water!, but no glass to put the water in. I quickly chugged my beer and asked her to pour some water in it, she gave me a dirty look filled it and said "Cheers". I went downstairs to use the bathroom and saw a group of servers/hostesses just standing and talking to each other. I would have given a miserable tip, but lucky for them they auto-charge a tip for groups of eight or more.

I love everything at the field! I spend my birthday there every year! love the bangers and champ!

The only issue I ever have has has to do with parking, or manuevering the gaslamp. My suggestion-take the trolley!

The field is a wonderful pub style setting with great Shepards Pie and Fish n Chips! Great place to watch a Soccer Match and relax! The Field has a large selection of beers to choose from!

The food is great and inexpensive.Went for dinner. Love the selection of pints and the atmosphere is one of a kind. Fun place and great music. Will definately go again.

Doesn't matter if you are not Irish you can still enjoy this great pub. Coming from Ireland I can vouch that this is like an Irish pub. Some Irish dishes, Irish beer and whiskey of course. Enjoy the Irish air and the great crack (fun).Fun night out but very busy and loud on the weekends.

Remember Carly Smithson from American Idol? This is where she used to work. I went here for a birthday party and the service was great. I wouldnt recommend it as a typical sports bar though since it was all Irish food. It was good though.

The review before me stated that this was a Scottish pub. WRONG! It's an Authentic Irish Pub. So authentic in fact that the entire bar was shipped over in pieces from Ireland.The food is great and really inexpensive.The serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.The traditional Irish breakfast and a bloody mary is a must have. They make their own bloody mary mix and it is fantastic, not for those who don't like a spicy kick!They have all the great beers and ciders on tap. Including a brew created especially for them. Weekends are packed down there because it's such a hot spot. Patio is a great place to sit and have a relaxing pint and people watch!

This is one of the few places I will drink downtown. They bring in Irish folks on working visas to work here and stay in the uS, which I think is kinda cool. Always good service; great doorman, good people watching.

love the decor of the placewell decorated. Even have the Bushmill bottles set up like beer taps. Food is deliciousI love the Shepards Pie. Service is great. This is the place to be on St Patricks Day to be sure!

You can eat at The Field during happy hour(until 7 pm) for next to nothing.
I had Sausage Rolls(2) for $3.95 and a Mini(nothing mini about it!), Shepard's Pie for $6, plus a couple drinks and got change back from a $20!
