Never Again!!!!
The view was great, decoration of restauraunt is beautiful but service was horrible. Our waiter only went to our table once and we had to get up from our table to look for him to get our check because we had been done with our meals for 45 min. Food was just alright & over priced. Wouldn't go to Peohe's againrather go to Candelas which is two restaurants down. They have great service, better view and better prices.

Great Atomosphere for Romance!!
Went here with my husband on our 35th wedding anniversaryit was a awesome place with a beautiful view of the Downtown San Diego skylineand we loved the tropical decorThe food was good, but the service was a little slowour waitor was nice but he rarely checked on us and we had to wait almost 15 min for our bill, I would go back for the view and food, but hope the service will be better next time.

Loved it
I have been here a couple of times, once as a tourist and once while living in San Diego. I have been to some amazing restaurants over the years and when I first went here I was in love with the Mahi Mahi. It was so amazing that when I moved to San Diego four years later I had to go back. Either sit outside or request a table by the window overlooking downtown San Diego, the view is amazing. Also, if you go on July 5th, they have after 4th fireworks around 9pm right on the bay.

Awful Service. Disgusting food.
I was so excited about trying this restaurant, but ended up being extremely disappointed with the food and service. First, my mojito was so watered down, it tasted like lemon water with mint. Then, my entree, the lobster ravioli, was served lukewarm. And it tasted soapy and chalky! I've had lobster ravioli before, so I know how it's supposed to taste. Therefore, when the waiter asked me how my entree was, I told him it wasn't good and asked him why the sauce had white specks in it. He told me it was a creamy goat cheese sauce, but there was nothing creamy about it! The lobster, shrimp, and scallops had no taste. The only thing I could taste was the soapy flavored, chalky textured sauce.

Although I hated my dish, I did not send it back because I did not want the cooks to put things in my food before they send it back out to me. (In hindsight, I should have sent it back, paid for my watered-down mojito and left. And another thing: the wine I ordered with my dinner was not brought out until I was almost finished eating.) When the waiter came back to clear the table, again, he asked "how was everything" and, again, I indicated my entree was not good. However, he didn't acknowledge the fact that I did not like the entree the first time or the second time I told him. Instead, he came back a third time, handed me the bill, and said, "I hope everything was to your liking."

To keep from embarrassing the waiter, I called the restaurant after I left and talked to some guy who pretended to be the manager. After I explained to him my disappointment, not only with the food, but with the fact that the waiter never once even acknowledged that I said it was not good, he gave a half-hearted apology and then.. He slipped and said he would pass along the information to the manager!

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I am telling everyone I talk to about how I was treated and the poor quality of food and service.

Favorite special ocassion restaurant!
I've been here countless times. Anniversaries, birthdays - and once, after a big win at the Del Mar racetracks.

I always recommend dinner at Peohe's for those who are visiting from out of town, especially for their mango stack, spinach salad, oysters, stuffed tilapia and, the highlight of any visit to Peohe's, their lava cake!

I have had one bad experience in the countless times I've been there, at brunch for Mother's Day. The service wasn't as spectacular as it is in the evening, and the food tasted like it was heated in a microwave.

BUT, my dinner experiences more than make up for it! I can't wait to go back again.

First Class
Now here is a first class restaurant with ambiance, killer city view and great service and menu.
I had my mom's 80 birthday here and we had a table for over 2 hours without being rushed off.
Servers were impeccable and the calamari steaks were cooked to perfection.
I highy can reccomend this place as a very special evening out.
