great food, a little pricey but worth it
not sure why citysearch mentions you need a reservation at least 3 days in advance because i made one for sat night the same day and the place was empty. and also not so sure its trendy or a night club. however, the food was spectacular and the service very attentive. the entrees are a bit overpriced but they were so good that i didnt mind. i got the halibut which is the best i have ever had. the fish itself was cooked to perfection and everything that came on the side was delicious. my friend got the shrimp curry which she said was the best meal she has had in a while. you should definitely try it out if you get the chance. you will end up paying ~$50 a head, though.

Scrumptious Dining, Fabulous Ambiance!!
I cannot recommend a better restaurant - PERFECT for a romantic night out, family/friends gathering, casual or dressy. Every care is taken to make your dining experience pleasurable and the dishes are divine! Whether you have a full dinner or apps & drinks at the bar, you will not be disappointed! After dinner, stroll over to their Blue Lotus Lounge for great music in chic, yet very comfortable surroundings(excellent djs and dancing on the weekends!) Check out their events (wine tasting, etc.)I love this place - NO NEED TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE IN SAN DIEGO FOR A FABULOUS NIGHT OUT!!!

Moroccan Style
Nice ambiance. Decent location in Mission Hills. Tasty food and plenty of options for the picky eater. Good size crowd, but not overly busy. Attentive service. A little on the pricey side, but you have to pay for quality in SD.

Love it!
The setting of the restaurant is very beautiful and has a nice realxing atmosphere to it. The service was spectacular. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu. She really gave great descriptions on how all the meals were prepared and what they consisted off. A very creative menu I must say. I went with 5 other friends and we all throught our meals were absolutely delicious! We kept putting bits of food on each others plates saying "you have to try this!" It was a lot of fun. Well worth the price you pay, I will definately recommend this to others in the future.

Missed the mark
While the concept is brilliant, foods from around the world on the same latitude as San Diego, the execution falls short. We started our meal with the Asian Duck Confit salad with grapefruit, jicama and candied pecans. I know duck is best rare, but this was dangerously undercooked and the fat from the duck coated the vegetables rendering them a soggy mess. The curried calamari wasn't bad although the server neglected to bring out the mango salsa mentioned on the menu. For an entree I had the pan seared halibut and cous cous. It wasn't bad mind you, but the fish was really underseasoned. for thirty bucks a plate, i'd expect a little more.

the exotic menu really gets your taste buds going, but the food just doesn't live up to the hype.

Wonderful, Ecclectic Food
Located in a trendy block of Mission Hills. The duck with gnocchi was perfectly cooked and the zataar Chicken was moist and favorful. I definitely recommend reservations. A great place for a romantic date.

Delights from around the globe
Parallel 33 offers dishes inspired from Morocco, Lebanon, India, China, Japan and other lands that lie along the 33rd parallel. It calls itself fusion/eclectic; I call it amazing. Such a variety of texture and flavors, all served in an ambiance as rich and exotic as the food. Unique in San Diego. It is pricey, so be forewarned.

Spendy, but wow is it GOOD.
great atmosphere, great food selections from all around the globe, but pretty steep on the bill. Best for small groups of 2-4 people.
