Wonderful drink selection by Kathy S. at InsiderPages
We didn't have a full meal here, but the drink menu is very extensive and the drinks served were excellent. They also had a decent appetizer menu that was also very good.

Great food and great service
I eat here often. The drinks are great, the food is amazing (with a few misses), and the staff is always incredibly friendly. My favorite is the lamb and the scallops. The wine list is also great with a particularly nice Merry Edwards pinot.
The place isn't that large, and aside from the noisy bar crowd (they have a happy hour bar special and tv's running), it's a pleasant experience. It would be perfect if they got rid of the tv's.

they are all confused
The window notes Mediterranean cuisine, the decor is french inspired, and the menu is asian fusion- they're all confused! This place is pretty expensive- about $30 more or less per entree. The food is NOT good, but the presentation of it is. I'm glad we used a coupon - otherwise I would have been peeved if I had to pay fully for what was put in front of me. Skip it, that is, if it doesn't close down before you go. This place was dead when we went.

This is a high end restaurant that serves both good food and a good menu of drinks. If you're looking for a nice sit down dinner then this is a good place to go. Everything is first class with great service.

Great food and excellent service. It is a classy place. Its a great neighborhood spot for a Friday night martini after work. Also is a great place for a date. I cant wait to go back.

Very Friendly
My trip to Laurel was great. The food was delicious and I love my server compared to other high-end restaurants because she made me feel comfortable. She was very friendly and explained the menu well. The food was great and there was a very nice ambiance. I plan on making another trip there soon and hopefully it will be as great as the first time!

Stylish and Expensive
Laurel has great French cuisine in a beautiful setting, but it is very expensive. Save it for a special occasion.

This is an upscale place located close to Hillcrest and Balboa Park. They have a good happy hour and make some very good drinks. The menu is very interesting with lots of different things to try!!!

Great for special dinners
This restaurant is very expensive, so I only go on special occassions, but the food is totally wonderful. The menu has classic yet unique preparations. They have a really good wine list as well.
