Kansas City Barbeque

The only mark down is Tom Cruise! lol! I love bringing out of town guests here after the seaport village tour! It has great food and incredilbe ribs, PORK! Great atmosphere to enjoy the San Diego Day!

Easily the worst barbecue food I've ever eaten. The food was cold, fatty, and tasted terrible. The only positive about the restaurant was the Top Gun memorabilia. If you like barbecue, you don't want to eat here.

Awesome BBQ food. This is place is famous for the taping of the TOP GUN movie. REAL fresh BBQ food. I had the Tri Tip sandwich and I'll be back again for more. I totally recomend this place.

If you come here with a group of four people or more, I don't suggest you guys order individually and just order the huge sample platter or something. Just ask them about it. It comes with like samples of EVERYTHING on the menu and is so much more worth it than ordering individually.
As for the food, it was a little dry on the area's that didn't have sauce and stuff. I've had better. But great place for meat eaters!

yes we all know who was here and what was filmed here.the real story is the great barbeque food here. Love the rich thick sauce on my ribs. You should stop in and check it out.

Kansas City Barbeque has been around longer than the now trendy BBQ joints. No ridiculousy long lines with hords of people. Thick, rich BBQ sauce.

MAn, this place is ridiciousthe decor is all Top Wing based since this is the site where it was filmed. It looks kind of dirty inside but the food they serve is HUGE and delicious. Don't miss out in this hole in the wall since they have some great ribs of various styles that you'll just die for!

Still the one and only in downtown for great BBQ!
Good food and priced reasonable.
No wonder the movie Top Gun was filmed here.

This is the original OG BBQ place in San Diego, Long bsfore downtown get trendy, Kansas City was here. Good sauce, great ribs, great everything.

I love Kansas city Barbecue sauce and it's great to have that here in San Diego. The food is good and the service to match.
