Cozy atmosphere, excellent service, special food What more could you want for a special occasion. It is pricey but they have a early bird special that could be shared that brings the price down considerable. I would recommend this experience at lease once.

This French restaurant does brunch without the buffet. You can order entrees like quiche, eggs benedict (my favorite), frittatas, and several different kinds of omelettes. The entree comes with fruit and crossants.

Chez Loma is housed off the main drag in a remodeled house that still looks like a house - part of the dining room is upstairs. The restaurant is cozy and intimate and romantic, the food is french with flair. It is pricey, but worth it if you're looking for a special meal.

My husband and I came here when we first started dating. It is a very romantic spot for a date because you can get seating that is almost private. The food is good, but the atmosphere is the bast part.

set in a converted beach house, this quiet intimate French restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner for two.

The food is a little salty but I believe that is common with french cuisine.

try the onion soup, you won't regret it.

Ambience:
The tables are pretty far apart and there are places in the place that are completely private. The restaurant is actually a house which was converted into a restaurant. People are generally quiet, and the place is great for intimacy.

Service:
French style service. New silverware for each course.

Food:
I had a lobster bisque, which I thought was a tad bit salty. I went for the four glass pairings which were great. The beef tenderloin with bernaise reduction was okay. The beef was a little gritty, but the reduction wasn't too acidic. Paired well with the wine. The portions for both bisque and beef were enormous, though! I had a chocolate souffle for dessert and was excellent. Again, a little too big on the portion.

Location:
Set in the heart of Coronado, near the Hotel Del. There are no views, but can walk to the ocean in minutes.

Overall, I rate this place "ABOVE AVERAGE"

Chez Loma is a great upscale restaurant. A lovely place to go for a dinner for two. It's beautifully decorated inside. The amosphere is so very relaxing and comfortable. The food is superb, absolutely delicious. Service is fast, the staff is very nice and friendly.

The restaurant is very cozy and inviting, and in beautiful Coronado. The food is authentic and the chef has prepared some original French meals - for example, the way he prepares his escargot is not found anywhere else in SD. The prices are a little high but worth it for a quality meal.

This is our favorite restaraunt for a romantic evening. Set in a little cottage with small tables and excellent cuisine. My family has been
going to Chez Loma for 28 years, and I highly recommend it.
