Buca di Beppo

I like it here..from the tour they give you when you walk in, to the meatballs the size of your head, to the liquor soaked tiramisu.

Whats more, I have been to both the downtown and Mira Mesa locations with 20+ people and not only have I never had any issues or recieved any attitude for such a large party, it has been exactly the oppositethey LOVE large parties! It's like they were made for it. The pope in the bathroom is kinda freaky though.

I was here last week on Business. The restaurant is in Little Italy. They did not have spaghetti carbonara on the menu, but did make it for me.
Our server was very good, it was busy that evening, but she did find time to check back. I found the wines to be a bit expensive, though.

I believe the pricing for the entrees was fair.
I would recommend them to any one who loves authentic Italian

The service here is great and fun, the atmosphere is really fun and old time italian. The food is good and they give you lots of it, they took away one of my favorite dishes(bring it back please) Shrip arrabiata it thats the only reason i gave it four stars.

This place is entertaining right down to it's wall deco! The food comes family style and it is all good.

It wasn't my favorite Italian food ever, but the food was good and they give you TONS of it. The salads were really good, but I found the pasta a bit boring. Still worth a try.

It's a good place to bring a big group of people, but not for a family dinner or date. It's a very loud, family style service resturaunt that's hard to have conversation in. Good for soccer banquets or group dinners though.

I went there and the assist manager was so rude to us. He lied and tried to make us pay for a product that he said was on a menu and it wasn't and did not honor the coupon that we had from Buca di Beppo. After confronting him about it, he lied, wadded up the coupon in front of us and stomped off away from our table. We were appalled. My Friend and I contacted Corporate. One of heard from them that they were reviewing the incident and they would get back to us and they never did. TERRIBLE. I will never eat there again and I will tell everyone I know not to got there.

This place is more for ambiance then it is for delicious or authentic itialian food. Try to request the table thats actually IN the kitchen for a unique dining ecperience

Do you have a dozen hungry people that all want Italian food? Then Buca di Beppo is the place for you. The menu makes it very easy to order dishes and share them (they just come out in large serving bowls) and the restaurant is very well suited to handle your large, boisterous group. The quality of the food isn't particularly good, but the prices are reasonable. I have had some bad experiences when it comes to service there, such as waiting far beyond the wait time I was told (like 2 hours instead of one) and being relatively ignored at my table. Great place to go if you have a walk-in party of 10, otherwise pick somewhere else to satisfy your Italian food cravings.

Piles and piles and piles of food served family style. Plenty of kitsch-y artwork, and lots of people. I love the food - regardless of what I order. They have meatballs the size of baseballs. They have some really good/interesting salads and they have lots of people. Be prepared to wait a while before being seated.
