When to the diner for dinner with a local friend. I had a chicken breast sandwich, which was good, but pretty much fell to pieces upon picking it up. French fries accompanied which were very good.

The food service was good too. They provided me with some bread at the beginning upon special request, which was nice. And the food came out fairly quickly, which I would expect of a diner.

We sat outside, which seemed like a totally different placevery nice, clean, and comfortable - a sharp contrast to the washed out flourescent lighting and speckled diner tables and plastic covered foam chairs inside. Thus the identity crisis. Diner? or not?

The parting moment was payment at the register, which took f-o-r-e-v-e-r for them to come and service us. Not the way to end an otherwise good experience.

I love going to this place for the great food and cozy atmosphere. From the time that you step into the door, you feel at home! The employees are amazing and the food matches.

I love this place especially for breakfast! The portions are pretty big, but you definitely get your money's worth. The breakfast menu is endless. My friend's and I like it better than Hash House. They are open 24 hours on the weekends if you just aren't ready to head home after the bars. Stop by you will be glad you did!

Hard as a rock, both patties, as they came smothered in gravyy to hde the fact they bwere fired to a rockhard state..and the there was the not-so-green beans: yesterday's overcooked, lip, dark forest green benas mixed with today's fresher, crisper,, lighter green beans.
Waiter never even asked or noticed I diid not eat my order.. I opted instead to share my buddy's bland chili spaghetti.
I shoud have stopped at the side house salad which was cold, crisp, and fresher than anything else that night(Friday).

You don't go to Brians for the food alone, it's for the social scene. Think of the Peach Pit in Bev. Hills 90210 or the diner in Queer as Folk, or Mels, or many other restaurants where you go to feel comfortable, see friends, soak up some atmosphere, and pig out.
Tino's special sundaes are over the top.
Veggies can get chicken or beef on the side for their dogs. That opens the menu up.

Brians American Eatery has some great good-for-the-soul food. I had the chicken fried steak: they give you two smothered in white gravy and lots of mashed potatoes with even more gravy!

The food is not your typical California cuisine that is overpriced. Simple meals that we all grew up with at low prices

Brians American Eatery is hands down one of the best in the city for American home cooked food. My favorite is their meatloaf.

Good home cooking and they have a wonderful selection of entrees on their menu. The waiter was very friendly and accomodating. I would definitely go again for the meatloaf or fried chicken.

Brian's has the best pancakes in town. When you want great homecooked food,eat here! Everything on the menu is wonderful.
