Try the Fresh Mozzarella - it is my absolute favorite! And the Focaccia Pizzas are out of this world. Of course their deserts are fabulous for those with a sweet tooth. Go, you'll be glad you did.

Overpriced with idiot cashiers. If you can get over that, the bakery goods are AMAZING. Personally we love their cupcakes with lavender frosting. Wow.

I am very picky when it comes to handing out ratings, but Bread & Cie takes the cake, hands down. Like the guy stated in the previous review, there is not one thing on the menu that is not absolutely FABULOUS. Everything on the menu from the food to the desert and the breads are great.
My girlfriend and I occasionally drive down to San Diego from LA for work and are in town for 3-4 days at a time. Bread & Cie is frequented about 80-90% for our meals. And it is not because we don't know of other places to eat. It is SIMPLY the BEST.
The bread is definitely on par with the bread in FRANCE always fresh and exactly the way it is suppose to taste.

The bread and sandwiches here are extremely good and it seems that many locals can be found here quite often.

It's a local favorite especially for fresh bread. The pastries are delicious and sandwiches are good too.

This bakery has phenomenal baked goods and great sandwiches (they make the bread on site). Although a bit overpriced (some things are a lot overpriced) most of the time this is worth overlooking.

This place has amazing desserts and their bread is fabulous, but everything is a bit overpriced. We've even been overcharged for dumb things $3.50 for an ice tea?

Bread and Cie is a great little bakery in Hillcrest (needs more parking spaces).Enjoy their HUGE bread sampler, and ask for extra cheese on the side.

They have great selection, is very busy, and offers seats in and out for a fabulous breakfast.

Great deals on extra large breads (freezes well too).

Wonderful local bakery, highly recommended.

This bakery and cafe offers really good bread - absolutely wonderful! Thick and chewy with delicious crusts - enjoy breakfast here and take a loaf or three homw with you.
