Marios de la Mesa Restaurant

Mario's is just such a cool little homestyle kind of place. I've been going there since they moved from the industrial district on the other side of I-8. I usually have just something light to eat, so I haven't sampled a lot of items, but the rest of my party has always been happy with their heaping plates o' food. Good selection, prices, and service. Love the patio too. One time when Mario's was closed I ended up at Marieta's nearby and boy was I disappointed!

We look forward to our almost weekly trip to the quaint town of La mesa, to have Mario's Mexican Food. It's delicious and their friendly staff makes you feel very welcome. We have really enjoyed every visit to this Restaurant. It's a small cozy little place, with a nice little outdoor patio in the back. Everything we have ordered has been delicious..Go and enjoy !

This is an excellent homey sit down Mexican restaurant. Built into an actual house over the past 25 years and that real family owned business feel makes this place rather nice. The bathrooms are clean and staff is very friendly. So far it's one of the better sit down Mexican places in town that I have seen thus far. The enchiladas were perfect, the rice is perfect (even with peas and carrots, not traditional, but a nice touch), the beans were so good, their buenuelitos are yummo, asada is good and the overall experience was 5 star. This place however is easy to miss, signage is not so obvious from the street. Parking is in the back and hard to get too, but plenty of street parking. This is definitely worth multiple trips. I was however, a bit disappointed with the flan. It was not room temperature, it had whipped cream on it (not traditional) and it was not the sweet caramelly flavor it should have. It was quite bland. I get the feeling they either third party their deserts or they make it way too in advance or something. But they had quick helpful and attentive service.

Mario's is such a wonderful plate to eat any time of the day. The staff is super friendly and the food is fantastic!

Congrats to Mario's for being the Mexican food in town! And the flan slap me!!! Always my choice when friends are here visiting.

Mario's has great food, friendly staff and dining on the patio is so comfortable! We always dine there when friends are in town. It's a great local restaurant!!

You will be greeted by friendly smiling faces, you will be served by the same.Your food will come to you just as you ordered.The atmosphere is just the right aount of busy and social.Will come back as often as possible,Breakfast lunch and dinner, all is great

This is the best mexican buffet i've ever had! It wasn't crowded, the food was delicious, and it was a great atmosphere

This is a great place for authentic Mexican food at very good prices! The atmoshpere is good, the food is served quickly, and the staff is very friendly

This places gets Five Freaking stars!!! What can I say, other than the best Mexican food place in town. I highly recommend that you GO EAT HERE!!! Everything is great on the menu! One of very few that I can say that about.
