Mr. Peabody'S

If you are looking for a really tasty fresh burger, head on over to Mr. Peabody's. Great fries to go along with it and you can down it with a nice cold beer/ale. The cook makes it right in front of you if you sit by the bar so it makes you even more mesmorized by the food. Fresh. Yummy. Good times.

I like going here to have a beer and a burger. They also have good martinis and appetizers. Eat dinner here and then go to Forever Fondue for a delicious dessert. The service is always great!!

Love, love, love this place. It's right up the road from my wife's workplace, and we kick off the weekend there a couple of times a month. Honestly among the best burgers in town, all cooked to order with your choice of cheese and really fresh toppings. Their onion rings and fries are outstanding, as are the chicken strips. I don't drink beer, but my wife does and she recommends their selection and specials. I'm also in love with their internet jukebox and load it up after placing my drink order. Only two caveats: the service, as others have mentioned, is atrocious. Friendly but extremely slow, even when the place is pretty calm. Also, avoid the side salad. The big, dinner-size one is ok, but the little one is small, overpriced and has almost nothing in it but lettuce and a little onion.

Great: French Onion Soup, Fries!
It's got that neighbor hood bar feel in a classy setting. It's not that big but it's comfortable and they serve generous portions with every dish.
Just down the hill from USD!

I've given this place many chances. I want to like them because their nightly specials are so good! But the service is SOO bad that after leaving and saying "I'm never going back" countless times - I really mean it now. I haven't been in about a year. The food is good and really cheap, but the absolutely awful service doesn't make up for it.

Mr. P's what the locals call it has drink specials nightly. Several Beers on tap (Fat Tire our Favorite). Excellent Burgers, Awesome Breakfasts on the weekends, the best shrimp tacos and a VERY good value. The staff is amazing too!!!

I go to Mr. Peabodys regularly on Thursdays for their $2.50 martini specials and I have not ever been disapointed with the service or food. I have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a table (surprising since the place is not that big, and has a nice cozy intimate feel), and the waitresses always are smiling and come by to check if you need anything. The food is decently priced and if you go on Thursdays, you can get a great deal on food and some martinis!

PROS: Good service, not much wait time for a table.
