Love this place. Every ComiCon Visit I eat here and hangout all weekend. Great Bean Burritos, quesdilla is awesome and their Sangria - the best!

When we lived downtown we frequented this restuarant a couple times a month. The food is always delicious and we loved their vairety of Mexcian food they had on their menu. They have something for everyone.

The price is really good too.

Really good food and a unique restaurant a Most eat at ! This place is a a local secret and a great art gallery. A long time family owned and operated business.

Pokez is not your average hip veggie/vegan Mexican place. It has great food, tons of it, for someone on a budget. It's a sit down (or take out) place that offers an excellent selection of quality options no matter what your diet is. It's like Rancho's but for the young hip at heart with a budget to match. Good food may take longer to cook, but then again if you want lightening speed go to the local Aibertos and have terrible stomach pains later on. Real people work here who give you real service, which I admire and find very unusual. I definitely don't get the feeling ever being here that all they wanted was my money. Great REAL tunes playing (even from the kitchen) and the decor is eclectic and traditional at the same time. This place was so great I had to take my picky British family in for a meal, and yes folks - they loved the place and always ask each time they visit if we can go back. Not bad for a small budget place, huh?

Yes, very scenestery, and what place in San Diego is not? the mysterious, sullen attitude is just a facade, obviously. The mahi mahi tacos were great and I'm still down with the amazing sangria.

The food was good here initially, but the people who work there and apparently own it treat you so awfully that it's not worth it.The rude, and disrespectful way they treat you isn't worth the good food options. Not only is it very slow service, but they don't care,or appreciate that you're there.I had someone who I believe is one of the young ownerswho looked like she was on something yell at me to get out when I nicely asked if my to go order was ready.I had ordered it in advance and with the time I was told it should be ready, i thought it would be when I got there. She proceeded to tell me to never come back.I've only been a good respectful and polite customer.They do treat you like if you're not pierced ot tattooed you're not welcome.Who knew an innocent question was so horrible. I guess there was supposed to be another way to get my food without asking.I just didn't know that.Althugh a lot of vegetarian places and places with veggie options for some reason tend to not have the best sevice, they aren't rude.Businesses and busniness owners forget that we help them stay open, and make money.Yu lose your customers because yuo disrespect them, and eventualyl you just might lose your livelyhood.We can choose somewhere else to spend our money.

I'm not a vegan or even vegetarian, but their tofu burrito and potato rolled tacos are sooo tasty I might consider it! I work right near Pokez and go in there quite a bit for take out, and I've never had anything but friendly service from the staff. The prices are incredibly good for the amount of food you get.

Yup, even Mexicans can be vegans.
This is the place to go for good vegan, or not, food. The atmosphere is brimming with atmosphere! The food is worth the downtown local and parking situation.
Great place on your way to a ballgame, really.

Vegan food here is amazing, they serve you a lot of food for a decent price. The atmosphere is really nice and the servers are very personal.

Honestly, I can't recall a time when I've dealt with such unpleasant staff. I know it's cool to be detached and difficult. The food was very good, but I'm not sure I'll go back considering how awful they treat their customers.
