Spa Velia

I went to Spa Velia as a bit of a treat to myself after a hectic week. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile, and it only got better from there. By the time I left I felt like a whole new person. Thanks Velia!!

This is a great place for a spa day! I loved everything except location (downtown parking is not fun) and it was just a little more expensive than other places I like.

Go there for a relaxing massage and a little me time. They have great selections of massages and the staff is friendly.

I have had several appointments at Spa Velia for facials. Each and every time it has been a wonderful experience. Although I would not typically use the steam room or change into a robe and use the relaxation lounge, I could not resist. The young woman at the front desk, Stacy, was soft spoken and kind. She walked me back to the changing rooms, showed me the steam room, the relaxation lounge, and then offered me the best pomegranate mimosa –what a treat. I am now sure to arrive early enough to enjoy both of these elements before each facial. As for the facials, I have had three different kinds with the same esthetician, Marcia. Marcia is wonderful. I now request her with each appointment. Marcia is sweet and easy to talk to. She recommends facial treatments that have improved my skin –thank goodness. I intend to give Spa Velia gift certificates to all of my friends for the holidays.

I was a regular customer at Spa Velia and had been there more than 10 times. I had received wonderful facials, massages, and routine waxing. I unfortunatley had to stop going there after they screwed up my third reservation. The first time, the girl I was suppoed to be with was in the back room and someone never let her know I was there until I reminded them after waiting for 30 minutes, so she didn't have enough time to help me. The second time, they completely lost my reservation and had no one there to help me, so I foolishly rebooked (again). The third time, my reservation was booked under the wrong day, so I waited 25 minutes for someone to free up and vowed to not go back there again. I recieved a discount for one of the events, but it was only 50 percent. I am a good tipper and an easy going customer, but after three times, I had to stop going there. I was hesitant to find a new spa because I did't want to have to search for one, but unfortunately, I wasn't going to be burned for a fourth time, so I found a new spa that WANTS me as a customer. It's too bad, because Spa Velia has potential, and the massage therapist and aestheticians are very friendly, but issues with reservations and customer service are a recipe for business failures. I would only recommend this business to someone who I wanted to frustrate by wasting their afternoon with unfulfilled appointments like Spa Velia did to me (three times).

I made an appointment with Spa Velia after my best friend got me a gift certificate for my birthday. I was so excited to go, so I made my appointment. I got a call a couple of days before my appointment and they told me that their steam room was out of commission, which was nice that they let me know, but I was still bummed because the steam room is something that I definitely intended on taking advantage of. So I rescheduled my appointment and the day of my appt as I was getting ready, I got a call that my massage therapist had called in sick (I had not requested a particular one). As I know that these things happen, I was fine with it, but was still frustrated as I had passed up a trip with some friends to keep my appt.

Once I did finally get into Spa Velia, I was pleasantly surprised at how great everything was. I just had to wait longer than I had wanted!

What a great place! I took my design students to the spa for a site visit and everyone was absolutely helpful. You have the choice of going to any spa in town, but this spa is definitely at the top!

Some girlfriends and I had a spa day last year and chose Spa Velia, none of us had ever been there. We all got the treatment called DRENCH!! Oh my what a treat it was, I have never been so relaxed in my life. We are planning another spa day and we were looking foward to go back to Spa Velia but I am pregnant and they do not offer a prenatal massage. BUMMER!! I'll be back after the little one arrives! Thanks for the great day of relaxation. You have to try the pomogranite mimosa!!

A month prior to our first anniversary I made a reservation at Spa Velia for couples massage (an act which requires a credit card number). Day of, I call prior to our appointment to confirm and they have absolutely no record of the appointment, and had been booked solid.

I was offered polite apologies on the phone, but nothing else. It's bad enough that this one-time special occasion was spoiled, but what happened to the credit card number someone supposedly took down?

1. The services I received was awesome.
2. The premises were extremely relaxing and warm and inviting and cozy
3. Some of the staff were awesome others.. way tooooo sugary sweet (only draw back, but not really something you can call a problem) They made you feel really welcome regardless.
4. Overall I would go back again.
