At Least I Tried It by Jennifer W. at InsiderPages
I went to Aladdin Cafe because I never have tried Middle Eastern food. I tried it and I did not like it at all. It was spicy and a tart flavor. It was horrible, but I guess I am so used to American, Italian, and Chinese food that I just am not used to the taste. But if you like Middle Eastern food then I would go because the staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was really nice.

Went on Mother's Day
Delicious. The food was fresh and wonderful. It wasn't busy and the service was fast. The gentleman that served us was friendly, overly. But he was precise and only got one drink incorrect. It was my mother's. I like the location because it is close to home and I can avoid the parking hassle of Hillcrest.

Go to the one in Hillcrest
The Kebeh at the Clairemont Aladdin's is always too heavy, the service is a touch too slow and the food is somehow just not as good as the Aladdin's in hillcrest.

Check out the frozen yogurt place next door!

Good gyros by Natalie B. at InsiderPages
Aladdin has the best gyros I've found in San Diego, as well as falafel and other standard Mediterranean dishes. The service is efficient but not terribly friendly, and the prices are a little steep, but the ambiance is nice.

Good food, Friendly staff, thumbs Up! by Rachel S. at InsiderPages
I eat at this restaurant quite often. It's actually called Aladdin Mediterranean Cafe. Their Mediterranean salad is REALLY good. I enjoy their brick oven pizzas, their gyro plates and sandwiches. Everything is fresh and made to order.

This review is actually for the Hillcrest Location by T S. at InsiderPages
It's on Cleveland Ave near Ralphs/Trader Joe's and it's simply wonderful! I've been going there for about 5 yrs! The owner is personable and makes it a point to introduce himself and speak to customers. The cook (George) is amazing and makes the best chicken I've ever tasted in my life! The hummus is wonderful and the pita is fresh and made on site. If you haven't been here you must try it out! It's fresh and healthy and delicious!

Fabulous food
Aladdin is a little restaraunt with big charm. It's got a small mediterranean cafe feel but the service is more like an upscale eatery. The decor is great (you can even by some authentic Persian pieces there!) but the reason to come is the food. The cuisine is like Afghan meets Greek and voila you have Persian food. Delicious! Be sure to try a salad with your entree the homemade dressing is the best.

Great Food AND Service
I have been here a few times and have enjoyed most of what I've ordered, especially the falafel. It's reasonably priced and I've always had excellent service.
