I have been an electrician in the construction industry for 20 years. I have worked with many different contractors in that time, but none that I would recommend as highly as Dakini Engineering. Dakini fixed a foundation drainage problem for me over a 3 week period ending 27 Mar 2009. The work was started and completed on time, with no disruption. The workers cleaned up their work area every day. The estimate was reasonable and the work was completed on budget. I would not hesitate to use Dakini again, nor would I hesitate to recommend them to others.

The job was leveling my house sinking in one corner.After the job was assessed an estimate was presented within a few days and the job was started in two weeks. The workmenship was stellar. The crew was great, very respectful and professional. I opted to have them use my bathroom instead of a portapotty. Flooring was protected and the premises left clean. They went above and beyond protecting my trees all work was done by hand no heavy equipment was brought in. The job was done well, on time and at a great value. Excellent service and follow-up. We hired a different contractor to build a new retaining wall and remove the old retaining wall. The contractor started late, progressed slowly and demanded more money. When I finally refused to give anymore he walked off of the job with my front and back yards completely destroyed and/or piled over with dirt and broken concrete.
Now I had to find someone to finish the project. I talked to a couple of other contractors and my wife and I were impressed with Dana Ansell of Dakini Engineering. Dana was attentive and understood what our “vision” was. With the understanding of what we wanted the wall for Dana devised a comprehensive plan of base materials/fill soils/wall drainage/top soil as well as a schedule that he promised would be followed to the best of his ability.
Dakini Engineering finished on buget and EARLY, so much for the schedule! During the process Dana was actively giving us updates and the workers were professionals in every sense of the work. They came to work on time, worked diligently, cleaned up after themselves and they were respectful of my home and family.
To sum up what I think of Dana and Dakini Engineering; I would recommend them to my mother.

Excellent work, excellent value, but above all else, excellent customer service. I had extensive work done on my back yard and balconies with additional minor work throughout the house. I was extremely happy with the craftsmanship and the cost was thousands less than other bids. Dealing with the owner throughout the process was a real pleasure. While I know I wasn't their biggest customer, I always felt like I was.

Dakini Engineering was the last company I met with prior to selecting them as my contractor for the project. After first meeting with three other contractors, and my 35+ years in the construction industry, I had many questions when finally I met with Dana Ansel from Dakini. Every detail of the job was throughly explored as well as all my never ending questions being answered completely.

Now that our house is "on the level again" I can truly say that everything I was promised either written or verbal was completed in an extremely professional manner. I cannot overstate how pleased we are with the finished product. It is rare when a project exceeds your expectations, but that is definately the case here.

Much like a root canal, I hope to never need the services of a contractor who specializes in structural repairs again. However if I do, I would go straight to Dakini Engineering and save myself alot of time and money.

We had signs of what we thought might be a cracked stab in our house. We fractically scheduled four different contractors to come out and give us estimates since we knew this could be thousands of dollars. The 4th, and the best, estimate came from Dana/Dakini Engineering. All three of the contractors prior to Dana all told me about the extensive work we needed to have done, and along with it, the expensive bills we would be incuring, all while doing little more then knocking on a piece of my floor tile. Dana came in and did a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of my home, which the others did not, and told me that my problems and repairs were far less then the others indicated. Dana stayed for a lengthy ammount of time to educate me about our landscape and drainage problems and gave me plenty of guidance as to how to correct out situation, which interestingly had nothing to do with any of his services. He was going to make no money from this job, but stayed and made sure I understoood the entire situation. Because of Dana, we avoided THOUSANDS of dollars in unneccessay work and feel so relieved. I am so thankful for Dana's expertise and honesty and would highly recommend him to anyone!!!!

When I was referred to Dakini I didn't expect them to be able to help me. My home had been built some time ago and had foundation problems and unleveled floors.
Several contractors I had talked to said
that being on the hillside I needed to talk to someone that had specialized skills in correcting major problems like mine. That is where Dakini came in.
From my first meeting with the company representative I felt that this was a very knowledgeable person and my problems
would be solvable.
The job was started and it moved along at a very rapid pace. All workers were
courteous and they kept my yard tidy considering they were digging holes, trenches and hauling dirt most of the time.
The job was done inside the time I had been quoted and after they were done you couldn't tell they had been there.
Never seen anything like it and I have had a lot of work done on my home over the years.
