This San Diego dining landmark has been reinterpreted with a new sophisticated, inviting look and feel. The stunning contemporary space combines design elements reminiscent of swinging London and hip Paris for a luxe look that is sexy and forward. The graphic use of bold black, silvery grey and pure white patterns begin in the restaurant's raised foyer and continue throughout the space highlighted by colorful punches of chartreuse gold, fern green and lipstick red. Dramatic lighting featuring Swarovski crystal chandeliers are reflected in a cut-out mirrored wall with Arabesque and Miro-inspired motif. Custom banquets upholstered in black and grey menswear pinstripes are counterbalanced with Chanel like hounds-tooth fabric backed dining chairs and fleur de lies pillows. Under the creative direction of Chef Brian O'Connor, the menu at Laurel features modern interpretations of Mediterranean cuisine that changes seasonally to showcase the freshest ingredients possible. The beginnings portion of the menu offers small plates perfect for sharing, while the Main portion of the menu presents an array of entrees with the option of Sides. A three-course pre-theater menu is offered from 5-6:30 pm.
