Don Chuy's is one of the relatively few San Diego County establishments that serves Mexican food with a genuine, South-of-the-border flavor. The portions are enormous, and the prices downright charitable. A good place for such traditional fare as cheese enchiladas, pork carnitas, and beef in spicy chile colorado, Don Chuy also offers such relatively hard to find dishes as eggs cooked with chorizo sausage and nopales cactus.
