First opened in 1968, the Balboa Veterinary Hospital is now owned and operated by Dr. Alexander, since 1983. Services provided at the hospital include medical and diagnostic services, surgical services, anesthesia, radiology services, electrocardiography services, preventative healthcare programs, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, dentistry, individualized pest control programs, dietary counseling, and behavioral counseling. The Balboa Veterinary Hospital will also see emergency cases so long as they are during business hours. Dr. Alexander is a participating member of the AAHA, AVMA, CVMA, and the SDVMA in addition to the Veterinarian Information Network.
