They do Maintenance!

Called central to do maintenance on an older (over 25 years old) furnace and that is exactly what they did. They didn't do a big sales pitch for a new furnace, just made sure the one I have is running safely. Perfect.

Call for maintenance get only sales and more sales

Called for yearly maintenance of system that is over 25 years old. The technician said the system was too ancient to maintain, and he would not perform a yearly service. He then had a sales guy come right out within an hour (what luck!) to talk about replacing it. The sales guy said that he could replace the furnace for about $2,500 - but that it would be crap. What we really needed was to completely replace our furnace and all ductwork, which would be over $10,000. The $10,000 systems are probably really nice, but from what I experienced if your system is older and you just want it serviced ASI might not be the best choice. The technicians get paid to come out whether they repair your system or not, and they get a commission on all sales - a serious disincentive for them to roll up their sleeves and get to work.
