Needless/poor surgery
A year ago I had two dometicated feral cats neutered. I had to wait two weeks for the appointment, the job was done sloppy, incisions were sutured badly. Recently the family found a perious 6 month cat that we took in and fell in love with as did our neighbor. We named her Mele ( Hawain for honey) because of her disposition and amber marking. Brought her down for neutering, gave her the works chip and shots; took her home (incision this time was done superbly), they said the would administer Advantage, they did not; wife had to go back cost $52, now its useless to us because we had to put her down because when we brought her back 10 days after surgery they told us she had cancer and lukemia. Wasted money unnescessary surgery, and most painfully the emotional devastation my family and neighbor could have been mitigated up front. In my opinion to do surgery and not bother to discover the cancerous lump in that same area is inexcusable, its cruel to the cat and us, to have done that intentionaly, perhaps just to pocket the money for spaying and then turn around and tell us she has cancer.
