Honest people, quality work.

We hired a different contractor to build a new retaining wall and remove the old retaining wall. The contractor started late, progressed slowly and demanded more money. When I finally refused to give anymore he walked off of the job with my front and back yards completely destroyed and/or piled over with dirt and broken concrete. Now I had to find someone to finish the project. I talked to a couple of other contractors and my wife and I were impressed with Dana Ansell of Dakini Engineering. Dana was attentive and understood what our “vision” was. With the understanding of what we wanted the wall for Dana devised a comprehensive plan of base materials/fill soils/wall drainage/top soil as well as a schedule that he promised would be followed to the best of his ability. Dakini Engineering finished on buget and EARLY, so much for the schedule! During the process Dana was actively giving us updates and the workers were professionals in every sense of the work. They came to work on time, worked diligently, cleaned up after themselves and they were respectful of my home and family. To sum up what I think of Dana and Dakini Engineering; I would recommend them to my mother.

Best dentist ever

Dr Stewart is so nice, I was terrified to have my wisdom teeth removed, and he spent time talking me through it, explaining the procedure, even giving me Nitrous to help relax me before he put in the IV. Everybody in the staff was very nice. The surgery went really well and when I had to go back after the surgery because of a dry socket Dr Stewart was really patient and gentle.

only after your money

Our dog got sick on New Year's day and we had to go to the pet emergency center, it was a very bad experience. First the service there is awful, we were there for 3 hours and all we got was a prescription, it's not like we were waiting during a procedure. The doctor came in and she said our dog was very sick, she wanted to admit him to the hospital, do X rays, ultrasound etc, the quote came back at $2600 just to find out what he had... When we said we couldn't afford it then she said it wasn't even worth doing the blood test then, that she wouldn't give us any different medicine then she was going to give us now. Supposedly she was very "concerned" about the dog but I never got a follow up call to see how the dog was doing. However she transmitted the info to our regular vet (Dr Zeicu, at the santee pet hospital if anyone needs a good vet), and he called to see how the dog was, and said we should bring him in if he wasn't any better. We went in, he took a blood sample, and we found out our dog had liver and thyroid problems and he gave us appropriate medicine. The pet emergency center is only after your money, don't go there.

great vet

Dr Zeicu is great, you can tell he cares about the animals, he's not in just for the money like most vets are. Highly recommended!
